The wonderful Léa Seydoux stars in the sensitive and deeply personal new drama from acclaimed writer/director Mia Hansen-Løve (Things To Come, Eden, Father Of My Children), as a single mother trying to balance the emotional needs of her parents, her child and herself.

Sandra (Seydoux) lives in a small apartment in Paris with her eight-year-old daughter. Her parents have long separated, and Sandra regularly visits her father, Georg (Pascal Greggory), an academic whose health has begun to deteriorate. Whilst she and her strong-willed mother (Nicole Garcia) struggle to agree on finding Georg a safe place to live, Sandra unexpectedly reconnects with an old friend, Clément (Melvil Poupaud). A passionate relationship begins to form, but not without repercussions.

Hansen-Løve, so finely observant of the small nuances of human interaction, weaves autobiographical elements into this delicate and heartfelt story of familial and romantic connections, and finding strength against challenging odds. Seydoux is radiant as her lead, bringing tremendous warmth and empathy to her role and the film as a whole.

Enthusiastically embraced by both critics and audiences as one of the best films of the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, ONE FINE MORNING is, quite simply, French cinema at its finest.

“Dune: Part Two” will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.
Villeneuve is again collaborating with his “Dune” creatives: Oscar-winning director of photography Greig Fraser; Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette; Oscar-winning editor Joe Walker; Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert; Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline West. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is again on hand to create the score.

“Dune: Part Two” was filmed on location in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Italy. The film is slated for a November 3, 2023 worldwide release from Warner Bros. Pictures.

Filled with charming moments, odd characters, and more Wesisms that you can shake a baguette at, The French Dispatch is all you could ask for from Mr. Anderson and then some. Pulling in almost every actor from his universe, it more than makes the long wait for its arrival seem irrelevant.

Made up of several chapters all told under the guise of being included on the pages of a fictitious publication called The French Dispatch, Wes gets to satisfy his stated claim of always wanting to do a series of short stories. He also gets to include another of his favourite storytelling mediums, animation, this time a hilarious car chase scene.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-9550766590923202" data-ad-slot="4069408586" data-ad-format="link"></ins>

Not a single frame goes by without a look or feel of his unique art and it fills the screen with amusement even when the story being told loses its focus slightly. Not every story hits its mark completely and one, in particular, could have used some judicious editing as it runs a bit long.

Transporting one to a unique environment is one of cinema’s greatest charms and Wes Anderson is one of the industry’s most assured partitioners. As the final credits roll you are left with the feelings of having just visited a wonderful and enchanting world. One that pales in comparison to the reality we almost all live in.

The wait is finally over. In what may be one of the longest delayed-releases in cinema history (over eighteen months) the new Bond movie is finally arriving in Australian cinemas. Bringing the Daniel Craig chapter to a close, No Time To Die provides a rousing goodbye to one of the best Bonds ever. The action here is relentless, grand in scope and well worth the wait.

The tale this time out is a continuation of the storyline that has underpinned all the Daniel Craig Bond movies. When Casino Royal launched back in 2006, it introduced a much more visceral 007. It began at his inception and featured his first kill. Then throughout successive films, his character weathered huge loss and discord with the realities of his chosen profession.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-9550766590923202" data-ad-slot="4069408586" data-ad-format="link"></ins>//

It’s always been the threat to the world at large that powered his immense sense of King and Country and drove him back into active service. Even the desperate loss of his mother figure M didn’t prevent him from the inescapable call of duty. The stakes are very high this time and even after an almost crippling loss of love he is back and fully committed to stay the course.

There are no films in the entire 007 franchise that feature more ferocious action than No Time To Die and it’s a good thing as the actual story and events that drive the character’s actions are ever so murky. The big bad this time played by Rami Malek is never fully developed as the majority of the focus is placed on Bond’s ultimate fate. Long-time fans will find much to like here though and newbies can just revel in the amazing action pieces, beautiful locations and cool gadgets.
