The Equalizer 3 Movie Review

Feel like taking a vacation in the South of Italia? Craving great food and quiet conversation? If so, steer way clear of Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) this former U.S. Marine and DIA officer seems to exist solely on English tea and trouble. Might be a rather dangerous dinner guest as well.

The latest chapter of The Equalizer film franchise (which is based on the eighties TV series of the same name) sees the man of few words injured and recuperating in a beautiful Italian village. While there he learns to love the locals and when they are threatened by the local mafioso he shuffles into action.

The pacing in this edition is even more deliberate than in previous incantations and this helps things build to a most satisfying climax. The body count may be lower but the deadly skill set McCall possesses is seen even more sharply than before. He is unstoppable

When this champion of the exploited and oppressed gets to fight for those that he truly loves he delivers his fiercest level of devastation yet. Flash and quick quips are not his style and it holds true the quiet ones are the ones you need to watch out for.
