The Jungle Giants 2015 Australian Tour
Out on Friday August 7, the new full-length from The Jungle Giants and the follow up to 2013’s ‘Learn To Exist’, is titled ‘Speakerzoid’.
“What’s a Speakerzoid?” I hear you ask.
It’s the result of misheard song lyrics courtesy of a friend of the band while they were enjoying the opening strains of Sonic Youth’s ‘Teenage Riot’. The band loved the made up word; it summed up the listening experience of the album so much it became the album title.
Recorded ...

Passion Pit 2105 Australian Tour
Just last month Passion Pit released album #3, Kindred (Columbia Records/Sony Music Entertainment Australia). Kindred is the perfect example of Passion Pit’s uplifting blend of indie pop, bursting with twists and turns that leave listeners dizzy with rapture.
Hidden in this euphoria is the contrasting darkness of Angelakos’ lyrics, which touch on themes such as depression and familial strife, proving there is more to Passion Pit’s music than its shiny, upbeat pop exterior suggest...
