Get ready to don your costumes for two nights of Halloween festivities as Trick or Treat Little Stanley Street makes a grand return!

From 5pm on Friday 31st October and Saturday 1st November, Little Stanley Street will be transformed into a captivating Halloween festival, and will feature Halloween-themed styling, a spooky scavenger hunt (pre-reserve your spot for free), outdoor cinema, ghost trains, kids craft Halloween markets, plenty of creepy-cute eats, and roving performances that are sure to deliver a delightful fright.

Head down to Little Stanley Street South Lawn for theatrical tales on the big screen including Halloween favourites favourites Scooby Doo 1 (Friday 5:30pm), The Addams Family (Friday 7:30pm), Casper (Saturday 5:30pm), and Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride (Saturday 7:30pm) perfect to enjoy with families and friends.

Oh, and did we mention the event is completely free!

Following the movies, at 6pm the venue is transformed into an interactive Halloween experience.

With two rooms of entertainment, don’t miss live music by local horror-themed band Terror Parade plus throughout the night DJ Jurassic Jeff will be spinning eerie Halloween tunes to keep you in the mood.

Roaming performers and burlesque entertainers will appear amongst the stalls which will include tarot readings, a seance, ghost stories and more.

Now is this cinematic world or repeat mistakes, comes the latest reboot of the Halloween franchise. With the #metoo era paying dividends, it’s a refreshing change when the women are not just victims and this time they get to be the hero and just generally kick ass.

Jamie Lee Curtis returns after decades away and gets to… well you’ll just have to see the film to find out. Horror films are not often this funny, grisly or prone to making you yell warnings at people on the screen who are about to become body count. Please see this with someone you love and you most certainly will loose the circulation in the appendage that they hold on to.

Young American dancer Susie Bannion (Dakota Johnson) arrives in 1970s Berlin to audition for the world-renowned Helena Markos Dance Company, stunning the troupe’s famed choreographer, Madame Blanc (Tilda Swinton), with her raw talent. Master of horror John Carpenter will executive produce and serve as creative consultant on this film, joining forces with cinema’s current leading producer of horror, Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge, Paranormal Activity).

Inspired by Carpenter’s classic, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride crafted a story that carves a new path from the events in the landmark 1978 film, and Green also directs.

Halloween will also be produced by Malek Akkad, whose Trancas International Films has produced the Halloween series since its inception, and Bill Block (Elysium, District 9). In addition to Carpenter and Curtis, Green and McBride will executive produce under their
Rough House Pictures banner.

Halloween will be distributed worldwide by Universal Pictures and will release in Australian cinemas on 18 October 2018.
