What the sequel lacks in character development, is more than made up for in sheer craziness. You really have to see the film to experience how over the top a current generation comedy can be. This work is the most entertaining Marvel film in many a moon. It’s biggest positive is its engaging sense of humour. It stands out in stark contrast to some of the more serious superhero fare and it’s a very welcome departure. There are even a few uncredited cameos that are a hoot.

Battle Of The Sexes Movie Review
Emma Stone is quickly becoming the Meryl of her time and she is consistently outstanding in this and pretty much every film she stars in as of late. Steve Carell is also perfectly cast as the buffoonish Bobby Riggs. Using the actual audio from the original match (recorded back in 1973) really does show how ingrained the male chauvinism was at that time.

The movie is set in a futuristic Japan, where an outbreak of “dog flu” has necessitated a mass canine quarantine by the government.
