IF Movie Review
The story is a simple one, a young girl named Bea (Cailey Fleming) who is going through tough times gains the ability to see people’s imaginary friends or IFs. She discovers she shares this trait with her neighbour Cal (Ryan Reynolds) and together they try to reconnect the IFs with the people they helped but abandoned as they grew up.

Corner Office Movie Review
This satirical look at the soul-crushing nature of corporate business and the way it turns humans into automatons is mostly focused through the eyes, ears and thoughts of Orson (Hamm). He is a man like few you’ve ever met in the cinematic universe. Filled to the brim with odd eccentricities and social awkwardness, Orson exists in a world almost entirely of his own making.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Movie Review
For fans, this franchise is amazingly deep in content and includes five feature films from the late sixties and seventies, a live-action television series, an animated one, a Tim Burton reboot that came out in 2001 that had its issues and then a more successful reemergence that started with Rise of the Planet of the Apes in 2011 and of which the latest film is the fourth of that series.

Dendy Powerhouse Outdoor Cinema – Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Movie Review with Nina the Cavoodle!
Seems the picture was attached to something called Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. This collection of moving images is called a movie. Now most rooms that show these moving images don’t allow puppies, can you imagine? So when my humans realised my attraction, after many nudges, they found a place for me and my fellow doggies to enjoy these moving pictures.
Turns out it was outdoors as well. When we arrived, there were so many potential new best friends I couldn’t contain my excitement ...
The Fall Guy Movie Review
Into this somewhat split cinematic landscape comes The Fall Guy. This movie is silly, humorous and just plain fun. It’s also a real treat for fans of film with its references to classic movie lines and send-ups of Hollywood excess but its most endearing trait is just how good you feel watching it.

This is the best kind of escapist fare. The humour is there but the pacing never suffers from the build-up needed to land the big joke. Its laugh-out-loud moments are ...
Abigail Movie Review
The dumb stoner Dean (Angus Cloud) gets it first and then the bodies start to fall. The elastic rules that govern how a vampire can be permanently dispatched allow the filmmakers to share some very humorous moments as gore and viscera wash over the screen.

The story involves a group of professional misfits who kidnap a young ballet phenom, Abigail (Alisha Weir) to hold for ransom from her extremely rich father. Unfortunately for them, the girl has a secret, one ...
Challengers Movie Review
Using the sport of tennis as a backdrop, Challengers ramps up the drama between Zendaya and her two friends Patrick Zweig played by Josh O’Connor best known as Prince Charles in the TV series The Crown and Art Donaldson (Mike Faist who played Riff in 2021’s West Side Story). The three make quite the power trio but as the story evolves and more information becomes available you realise the power is held by just one.

Civil War Movie Review
The film takes those real-world situations and lets them run to what some believe is a natural conclusion, Civil War. Through force, California and Texas have succeeded from the Union and become the dominant military power and have sent troops East to Washington DC to capture and execute the President. Into the fracas, we catch up with famous war photographer Lee (Kirsten Dunst) and Journalist Joel (Wagner Moura). The horrors Lee has witnessed are starting to catch up with her.

The Stolen Valley Movie Review
These two women are complete strangers at first but by stories end they will have become besties. The film’s lower budget has a few knock-on positive effects. It’s always easier to believe in an actor’s character when you haven’t been overexposed to them or seen them in a career-defining role. One of the other positives is reducing the special effects to a minimum, less bombast, more story.

Monkey Man Movie Review
The action, while extremely violent in its nature is almost subtle in the way it is presented. The blood flows but the closely shot action scenes keep the energy high and confronting visuals somewhat discrete. There is very little gun play and the confrontations remain mostly in the hand-to-hand combat and knife play arena.
