German Film Festival – 25KM/H Movie Review
This film lays out a well trodden road to follow but that doesn’t prevent it from being very entertaining. It’s filled with humour, pathos and ultimately the bonds of brotherly love. The soundtrack is filled with great songs by T-Rex, The Cure, Yo La Tengo, Sufjan Stevens as well as others and even though the film is spoken in German (with English subtitles) it is extremely accessible.

This examination of a culturally forbidden love is presented as part social story and part teen drama. It helps the teen drama aspect that both women are very attractive, this however blunts the film’s social impact. It is still a fascinating insight into the Gypsy world, a world very few know.

Moro Spanish Film Festival – The Good Girls Movie review
Sofía deals with this financial crises the only way she can, by completely ignoring it. Things are crumbling around her and it’s to the quality of Salas’ performance that you see this uncertainty and the fear it instills in her in such fine detail. It’s in the cracks of her tightly wound persona that the details become apparent. This is a voyeuristic tale of the rich with a stark reality at its centre.

BIFF 2019 short film competition now open!
Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) Director Chris Saines said short films selected for screening would also be considered for the Festival awards across five different categories.
