New friendships are formed, and old ones tested, in the young-adult adventure THE CURIOUS CASE OF DOLPHIN BAY, which tells the story of four teens who, while working as interns at a research centre investigating changes in the local reef, witness strange events and suspect a local legend may be tied to the reef’s problems.
Perfect family entertainment for the Spring school holidays, the film stars Izabela Rose (Upside-Down Magic, TVs Secrets Of Sulphur Springs), Jayden McGinlay (Children Of The Corn, Sweet River), Charles Cottier (TVs Home And Away) and Rowan Chapman (Ticket To Paradise).
Filmed in South East Queensland, at locations across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, including Snapper Rocks, Mt Tamborine and Pullenvale, THE CURIOUS CASE OF DOLPHIN BAY had its world premiere at the 2022 Gold Coast Film Festival, followed by an Australian cinema release. The film premiered in the U.S. as a DISNEY+ Original.
Director Christine Luby (This Little Love of Mine, Dive Club) commented “It was a joy to direct this film with an amazing cast, and I’m proud of what our production team has created. With themes of environmentalism, friendship and mystery as well as a few frights in the night, I hope to take audiences on a little adventure and to remind them that connection is everything.”
The Curious Case of Dolphin Bay will be available digitally September 13!
