Retro Movie Review – The Gunman
Standing in for Neeson this time out is the now craggy faced Sean Penn, who looks like he spent considerable time in the gym while preparing for this role. He plays Jim Terrier, an overseas mercenary with a dark secret and a love interest in Annie played by Italian actress Jasmine Trinca. Through circumstance they become separated but the tie of love warrants a future reconnection.

Oddest choice of all is not utilising the current state of the art for cinema sound with its amazing ability for massive soundscapes. Instead we often get thin eighties sounding synth line based music. Also very few of the cast members have strong voices, with the exception of Jennifer Hudson who gets to belt out the thrice repeated hit, Memories.

Cats, in Australian cinemas December 26, is directed by Oscar®-winning filmmaker Tom Hooper (Les Misérables, The King’s Speech), and stars Swift, James Corden, Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, Rebel Wilson and Royal Ballet principal dancer Francesca Hayward.
In the film, the song is performed by Hayward, who stars in the role of Victoria. The version of the song performed by Swift, who plays Bombalurina in the film, will play over the end titles....
Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw Movie Review
Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) who are sworn enemies must once again team up to save the world. The two alpha males try to out do each other at every step and seem to be receipting from a script written in all caps. The film’s big baddie Brixton, played by Idris Elba also gets in some juicy lines. Add the femme fatale Hattie (Vanessa Kirby) to the mix and you have a cast with some serious fire power.
