Driftwood at JWCOCA

From the award winning company who brought you KNEE DEEP, now comes the world premiere of Driftwood.

On Friday 17 June, Brisbane’s Casus Circus presents their highly anticipated new work Driftwood for one night only at the Judith Wight Centre of Contemporary Arts.

Through the unique acrobatic shapes signature to Casus, Drfitwood takes you on a journey of explosive encounters, hidden looks and humorous discoveries.

In this colourful and turbulent concoction of pure joy and intimacy, watch Casus bring a blank canvas to life and revel in our innate need for human contact.

This is a circus show that doesn’t let you forget that to feel, is to be human and in a moment of danger, a grasping hold can mean survival.

The company aims to explore how our lives are shaped by the people we encounter as we drift through day-to-day life. Investigating how the stories of our loved ones, our enemies and complete strangers guide us and determine who we become.

This world premiere work features three of the company’s original co-founders, Jesse Scott, Lachlan McAulay and Natano Fa’anana, as well as stand out company members Abbey Church and Kali Retallack.
