It presents a wonderful opportunity to discover the instruments of the orchestra and delve deeper into the world of music. This is the ideal environment for your little music lovers to experience a live orchestra.

The legendary actor and comedian Bill Murray, and world renowned Cellist Jan Vogler are bringing their ‘New Worlds’ tour to New Zealand this November. The two met during their travels and became friends in New York. Curious about each others artistic world and interests, the actor and the cellist soon had the idea to work together on a project.

A program that showcases the core of the American values in literature and music. A show that communicates the bridges artists have built between America and Europe. Twain, Hemingway, Whitman, Cooper, Bernstein, Gershwin and Foster are some of the strongest voices that influenced generations of humans in America and gave the world a picture of the charm, energy and creative force of the ‘New Worlds’.

“Mr. Murray described the idea as ‘the collision of America and Europe,’ in part reflected in the backgrounds of each of the four members of his new group. ‘We are from four different continents,’ he said. ‘And when the continents come together, the music moves right across the peninsulas from one to the other. It’s just a short journey from one continent to the other.”

In 2018, their idea for a joint program celebrates its premiere in New Zealand. The Hollywood star’s love for classical music is young and his art of language boundless. All the more reason to look forward to a fascinating encounter between great music and great literature featuring two masters of their art.

After a five year absence, British duo Lamb make their long-awaited return to Australia for a five-date national tour this summer.

First forming in Manchester in 1995, Lamb’s 1996 self-titled genre-bending debut album delivered intensely personal, emotionally charged songs intertwined with startling drum n bass beats in in a collision of jazz, classical, blues, techno & hip hop that defined an era of trip hop.

Singles ‘Gold’, ‘God Bless’, ‘Cotton Wool’ and ‘Górecki’ have been critically and commercially successes. In particular, ‘Górecki’ – inspired by the works of composer Henryk Mikołaj Górecki – has become one of the most recognized anthems of electronic music, attracting numerous remixes, covers, TV commercials and movie soundtracks (Basquiat, Moulin Rouge and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer to name the biggest box office hits).

Since their Australian debut, Lamb has drawn rave reviews from thrilled audiences and critics alike for their sold-out headline and festival performances. They wowed fans as part of 2003’s iconic Livid Festival, headlined Sydney’s much-loved Peats Ridge Festival in 2009 and 2011 brought Lamb back to our shores to headline the Playground Weekender Festival on the Hawkesbury River, as well as selling out numerous sideshows along the way.

Lamb 2015 Australian Tour
Friday, February 6 – Astor Theatre, Perth
Sunday, February 8 – Fowlers Live, Adelaide
Tuesday, February 10 – The Tivoli, Brisbane
