Opera Queensland invite one & all to “Sing Sing Sing”

Opera Queensland is throwing open the doors of its South Brisbane studio to everyone with a passion for singing for an informal evening of operatic classics washed down with a refreshing glass of wine.

Led by popular Queensland baritone and teacher extraordinaire Jason Barry-Smith, SING SING SING is an opportunity for singers to join in hearty renditions of familiar tunes and toast their temporary stardom with a complimentary bevvy.

All attendees need to bring along is a sense of fun and a willingness to let rip as they sing along to some of the great moments of opera.

For those with more musical experience, optional sheet music and added harmony parts are available. Dress code will be anywhere from relaxed in jeans – or ready to party on afterwards, as the mood strikes.

By the end of the 90-minute session attendees will be raising the roof in a rousing chorus and ready to unleash some seriously impressive new karaoke options. As a special bonus, attendees will also encounter some of Opera Queensland’s finest singers performing a favourite song or two up close and personal, accompanied on grand piano.

Afterwards all partners-in-song are invited to join Opera Queensland for a celebratory drink to round off Friday evening nearby at one of South Bank’s popular venues.
