Brisbane International Film Festival 2018 is coming this October!

Get ready for BIFF 2018 running from 11 to 21 October!

Presented by QAGOMA, the 11-day citywide Festival will showcase more than 100 feature, documentary and short films, including new releases from around the world and a series of curated highlights exploring current ideas from Iranian, Asian and African filmmakers.

The BIFF 2018 cinema experience also includes VR theatre performances, silent films presented with new live scores and platforms for filmmakers to engage with audiences.

Join Artistic Director Amanda Slack-Smith and her team as they facilitate discussions with industry professionals about emerging trends in the industry and social events.

 

 

Festival Patrons Bruce Beresford and Sue Milliken AO also offer a rare opportunity for audiences to hear from two internationally renowned Australian film professionals as they discuss their extensive history of working together.

Tickets will be on sale mid-September when we launch of the new biff.com.au website the full 2018 program.

BIFF 2018 will be presented at QAGOMA’s Australian Cinémathèque and city-wide with partner venues including Event Cinemas at Brisbane City Myer Centre, Five Star Cinemas’ New Farm Cinemas and Elizabeth Picture Theatre, Reading Cinemas at Newmarket, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane Powerhouse and State Library of Queensland.
