Gather, feast, groove and enjoy Friday’s opening night at the all-ages King Street Food Fiesta as restaurants along the dining strip serve tasting plates of signature dishes from 4pm to 9pm, with roving entertainment and live music from Brisbane’s best emerging talent.

Saturday dawns with the Hidden Lanes Festival Pop-Up inviting people of all ages to discover the secret treasures of Bakery, Winn and California Lanes.

Choose your own adventure as the sun goes down when Valley Fiesta, Live! takes over 11 iconic Fortitude Valley venues from 6.30pm to late with FREE entry and an incredible line-up of acts, including Holy Holy, Gordi, Kian, WIIGZ, Alter Boy and many more.

Also on Saturday, The Sound Garden hosts the brand-new Access All Areas Stage, featuring a space made accessible for everyone to experience the thrill of live music without barriers. A debut event as part of Valley Fiesta, Stranded Bar transforms into an alluring night of voice, circus, burlesque and drag artists with SIREN.

Get out your fave band tees and get ready for an epic three-day lineup of live gigs featuring more than 70 artists across 20 local music venues from Thursday 28 October to Saturday 30 October.

Now in its 24th year, Valley Fiesta is one of Brisbane’s biggest annual parties, showcasing the Valley’s vibrant live music scene with Australia’s best-established artists and emerging talent.

This year’s Valley Fiesta, presented by Brisbane City Council and QMusic, falls on the rescheduled Ekka public holiday long weekend and will be an in-venue extravaganza with a jam-packed program of homegrown acts.

Head to the Valley’s beloved live music and heritage venues to see local luminaries such as hip-hop ingenue Jesswar, singer-songwriter Hope D and punk rockers Beddy Rays with a DJ set from DZ Deathrays.

Rounding out the lineup is rapper Nerve and legendary Brissie hip-hop group Butterfingers, plus the indie rock stylings of Halfway, King Stingray’s Yolngu surf-rock tunes and the psych-pop feels of Nice Biscuit.

These stellar acts (and many more) will take to the stage at one of the 20 participating venues in and around the Valley, including Black Bear Lodge, The Brightside and The Brightside – Outdoors, O’Skulligans, The Tivoli and The Zoo.

With live music, theatre and arts presented over a new five-day format, the twenty second edition of the Valley’s flagship festival offers a packed program of live entertainment from 29 August – 2 September.

The 2018 program includes music, performance, food, workshops and visual arts across three laneways and more than 40 venues. Highlights include the Brunswick Street Mall Main Ring, which will host free daily entertainment including Le Coup Cabaret, a high-flying performance by Brisbane’s own contemporary circus troupe Company 2. The Valley will come alive as your favourite venues host special Fiesta events and the precinct is taken over by larger than life projection and inflatable art installations.

Launched in 1997, Valley Fiesta showcases the best of Brisbane’s music and arts scene, providing a platform for our city’s emerging musical and creative talent. Valley Fiesta is one of more than 50,000 festivals, events and markets Council helps to deliver each year.
