This collection of oil paintings depicts the turbulence of a descent into the darkest depths of the unconscious mind where form and structure dissipate to leave the raw, intense energy of a struggle for survival. A powerful visual depiction of the darkness man must conquer to gain ultimate iconic stature.

Townley’s work has been exhibited at The National Gallery, The Royal Academy and Saatchi Gallery in London. Some of his clients are made up of the world’s greatest stars; Sir Michael Caine, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Kate Moss and David Bowie to name a few. These have all become part of his world-famous ICON collection, which will feature in this exhibition.
