After selling out two headline shows at Newtown Social Club as well as one Northcote Social Club, Last Dinosaurs have just announced a third and final show date to the Sydney leg of their ‘Miracle Methods’ national tour on Thursday 9th June, with tickets on sale immediately.

There are still a limited number tickets available for Adelaide, Brisbane and Friday June 3 in Melbourne, but Dino’s fans will need to act quickly if they want to get their hot little hands on tickets for these up close and personal club shows. These fast approaching dates offer fans a chance to see Last Dinosaurs perform on stages not seen since the early days of their career.

Enlisting up-and-coming local acts to support them in each state, they will be joined by psychedelic floppy hand poppers Zen Panda and the jazz / Brit-rock influenced Montreal for Adelaide; Brisbane will feature newcomers Landings and Rolls Bayce (the new project from Dean McGrath of the late Hungry Kids of Hungary); Foreign National will warm up the stage in Melbourne with their nostalgic, detuned pop, along with rising indie star Alex Lahey; and last but not least Sydney’s inner west hooligans Jody will join Rolls Bayce yet again.

Last Dinosaurs recently released their captivating new video for the third official single ‘Wurl’ – the latest track lifted off their stellar 2015, LP Wellness. ‘Wurl’ is the kind of effervescent, sun-drenched track that swirls with phased out guitars, pitter patter drum beats, and fuzzy vocals that combine to float you on a dream-like ride to the ends of the disco rainbow. The video, directed by newcomer Harry Deadman, is a psychedelic and frenetic trip into the idea of stimulation overload, recreating old social and medical science experiments.

Last Dinosaurs have teamed up with tastemaker site Pilerats to give fellow musicians and producers access to that creative keyhole with the opportunity to remix their track ‘Apollo’ – offering the reward of a custom Ryusuke Effects guitar pedal, handmade by Sean Caskey himself. Download the audio stems for ‘Apollo’ here and submit your remix by Wednesday May 18, for your chance to become a part of Last Dinosaurs history.

Last Dinosaurs reveal latest single ‘Apollo’ from their hotly anticipated second album ‘Wellness’ to be released August 28, via Dew Process / UMA, plus announce a run of national tour dates which include some of the largest venues the band will headline to date, including all ages and under 18 shows. Last Dinosaurs ‘Wellness’ tour, proudly supported by triple j, kicks off Friday September 25, in the band’s hometown of Brisbane before heading to Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra and Perth.

‘Apollo’ is a shimmering slice of pop with effervescent riffs, sunset solos and a bass line that will drive you straight to the dance floor. Lead singer and guitarist Sean Caskey explains “It’s about the scene in The Matrix when Neo is offered the red pill and the blue pill by Morpheus. The moment in time when someone who’s curious about something more, to take the dive on the edge of uncertainty into an alternative life.”

Last summer, the band took two months of much-needed downtime and headed south to The Grove studios, situated in the sleepy Central Coast of New South Wales to record their latest creative endeavor, ‘Wellness’. They recruited producer Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, The Presets, Empire of the Sun) for the album, and his legendary portfolio brought a wealth of experience to the project. “Scott is a genius. He has the perfect blend of scientist and artist in him. It’s just inspiring watching someone who’s a master at his craft weave his magic on your work”.

Last Dinosaurs have only just wrapped up their sold out national ‘Evie’ tour, which saw the band play to ecstatic fans across the country. Tickets for the ‘Evie’ shows sold out in Sydney and Melbourne in less than 72 hours of going on sale, with Brisbane and Adelaide following suit within a week. The ‘Evie’ tour kicks off in Brisbane then on to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth this winter prior to their scheduled performance at Splendour In The Grass.

Last Dinosaurs emerged from Brisbane’s underground indie scene with 2012 debut ‘In A Million Years’ which put the band on the local and international music map, peaking at #8 on the ARIA Album chart, securing them a Triple J Feature Album and critical acclaim, while single ‘Andy’ landed into Triple j’s annual Hottest 100. The band’s large online presence has generated millions of combined views on the group’s YouTube and Vevo channels. Their continued success has cemented their reputation as ‘the ones to watch’ with the Herald Sun Hit naming them “Australia’s break-out band of 2012” and Indie Shuffle proclaiming “Very big things await for Australia’s freshest Indie-Pop stars.”

The worldwide release of ‘In A Million Years’ saw the band win hearts across the globe as fans tore up the dance floors of headline shows and at major festivals in the UK, Europe, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. British Press The Guardian awarded them the influential Band Of The Day accolade declaring, “Last Dinosaurs prove that decent indie guitar-pop is not extinct”.
