With this new work, Aardman Studios have lost none of their charm. It’s still very British and remains quite easily digestible. They also put those wonderful touches in that you need to be on the lookout for, like the Doctor Who cameo and the obligatory reference to toast.

Staying true to the claymation technique keeps the character’s look organic and the emotional context warm. Tastefully mixing in CGI backgrounds and props helps to expand the possibilities. The story is still very minimal, Aardman is never deep with story but always rich with character.

With an almost compete lack of cynicism and innuendo free presence, Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon offers a pure form of entertainment that is very rare these days. Its only agenda is to create smiles on faces and lightness of heart.

Justin Hayward-Young, The Vaccines comments “We love Kylie and we love Aardman, both national treasures. Collaborating together on LAZY was an honour and a dream come true. Maybe an unlikely pairing on the face of it – but one that makes total sense in a world as wonderful and mischievous as Shaun’s”

Joe Sugg adds “I have always been a huge fan of everything that Aardman have ever made, so much so, that I went to animation club as a kid. I jumped at the chance at playing a role in their new movie and am so excited to be part of it!”
