Mumford & Sons are very pleased to share the details of their forthcoming fourth album. Delta will be released on the 16th of November through Dew Process/ UMA. It was recorded at The Church Studios in London and produced by Paul Epworth.

A huge, sixty date tour in thirteen different countries will be revealed on the 5th October, starting later this year.

Since the release of Wilder Mind in May 2015, and the collaborative Johannesburg mini-album in the Summer of 2016, Mumford & Sons have found a rich, prolific vein of form in the writing for Delta. Where Wilder Mind harnessed a widescreen electric sound that seemed custom built to be belted back to them from the festival main stages, Delta loses none of that sense of scale, but couples it with an intimacy and jubilance that has so successfully combined to make Mumford & Sons one of the biggest bands of recent years. Guiding Light is the perfect example of that – a dizzying folk-rock song that builds, builds, explodes and then explodes again. An emphatic return.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-9550766590923202" data-ad-slot="4069408586" data-ad-format="link"></ins>

Delta is a record of differing shades, colours and textures. It’s also a record that marks ten years since Mumford & Sons formed and draws on that shared experience of being on and off the road. It’s a moving collection of songs perhaps more intimate and expansive, both lyrically and musically, than ever before. It’s also a tender listen, introspective and reflective but married with those ecstatic stadium-sized dynamics. It sounds like a career-defining body of work.

Sigh No More, the band’s debut album, celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2019. It’s an album that lit the fuse for an incredible decade. Yet despite the multiple number one records that they have notched up across the world, it’s taking those songs out on the road that continues to define them. The announcement of Delta will be followed shortly by a sixty-date tour around the world, kicking off in November.

Delta is a substantial, exciting record by a British band in the form of their lives.

Delta will be out November 16!

Bringing his unmistakable baritone pipes back to our golden shores, acclaimed 23-year-old English singer-songwriter George Ezra will be enchanting crowds in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane on a newly announced Australian tour next March. With his latest single, the joyous romp ‘Don’t Matter Now’, fresh in our ears, Ezra is wasting no time in rescheduling some regrettably cancelled July shows.

George Ezra first came to prominence back in 2015 as he rode the sunset across Falls and Southbound Festivals on the back of his hugely successful record Wanted on Voyage. A precocious debut from a young man with a voice well beyond his years, the album featured massive singles ‘Budapest’ and ‘Blame It On Me’ and went on to sell a total of 3 million units worldwide. He was also nominated for 4 Brit Awards, MTV Music Awards, Q Awards and the prestigious Ivor Novello – a tribute to songwriting talents forged in the shadows of heroes like Bob Dylan and Hank Williams.

As anticipation for a follow-up album grows, the Bristol native has been busy wowing crowds in a series of “top secret” shows across the UK. Debuting new material and getting himself match-fit, he also took in a cheeky Glastonbury set, after which DIYmag.com proclaimed that we were in for a “smasher of a new record”. With a touring schedule that takes in some of the biggest festivals on the planet including Pukkelpop and Lollapalooza, George Ezra will arrive on Australian soil in peak form.

Also appearing at these shows will be Melbourne-based spark Ainslie Wills. Dealing in powerfully quixotic song craft, Wills has forged her reputation with an enchanting voice and jaw-dropping musical dexterity. Her debut album You Go Your Way, I’ll Go Mine was nominated for the Australia Music Prize and its tonal turns and lyrical twists will provide the perfect foil for Ezra’s earthy propulsions.

Australia’s most prolific and loved siblings, Angus & Julia Stone, are set to hit the road with a national tour this September, bringing their sun-drenched melodies to warm up our winter blues. Announcing five dates, including The Tivoli in Brisbane (which forms part of the upcoming Brisbane Festival program), Palais Theatre in Melbourne, the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre and Perth Concert Hall.

Joining Angus & Julia Stone is special guest Ruel. Quite literally the definition of ‘a natural’, at only 14 years of age Ruel has the soulful voice of a broken heart that had been smoking cigarettes and downing whiskey for the past 40 years. Discovered in 2015 by Grammy Award winning producer M-Phazes (Eminem, Kimbra, Daniel Johns, Meg Mac), Ruel would later make his introduction via featuring on the super producer’s single ‘Golden Years’. Their recent performance on triple j’s Like A Version clocked over half a million views in less than 48 hours and made it one of the highest viewed LAV’s of 2017. Executive produced by M-Phazes, Ruel’s debut EP is out later this year and it boasts a bold & unique sound for Australia’s newest musical prodigy.

‘Snow’ is the first taste of music to be unveiled from their highly-anticipated forthcoming studio album due out later this year. It brings a fresh mix of breezy rock with layered scratchy guitars, gentle organs and their signature intimate harmonic style. It’s simply stunning.

Fans get their first look at the new video for ‘Snow’ today, directed by Onil Kotain and produced by Karim Sukarno. The video is as intimate and intoxicating as the track itself and sees Angus & Julia Stone wandering through a lost doorway in the desert, finding themselves in a snow lodge party with a cruisy gang having a good time. All of which serves as a prelude to their live shows this September.

Since the duo began performing together in 2006, their story has unfolded with an almost magical magnetism that has galvanised the world. Their four albums have amassed multi-platinum sales, with their latest single release ‘Snow’ already hitting #2 most played on triple j last week, #62 on the Shazam chart (with over 8,000 shazams) and over 800,000 Spotify plays! Whilst also winning a fan base of millions over spiralling tours of the UK, Europe and North America. The band have over 5 million listeners each month who tune in to stream their music from all over the world.

The Mountain Goats will return to Australia in April 2017 for the first time in five years. Led by founder, singer and songwriter John Darnielle, the band will grace stages in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Byron Bay’s Bluesfest.

A prototypical songsmith of his generation, Darnielle has been renowned for his immersive lyricism and vivid storytelling for over 20 years. During this time, The Mountain Goats has evolved from the lo-fi solo recordings of the 1990s to compositionally rich, grandly conceptual, full-band offerings in the last decade.

Darnielle’s penchant for observation and narrative has further seen him branch out into writing, releasing his first novel ‘Wolf in White Van’ in 2014 with a follow-up, ‘Universal Harvester’, coming in February 2017 on the eve of his Australian visit.

The tour follows the release of The Mountain Goats ambitious fifteenth studio album ‘Beat the Champ’, which chronicles the American Southwest underworld of the pro wrestlers he idolised as a kid. As always, it is the details that make this album so absorbing as he vividly imagines and paints their lives through lyric and melody.

“I wrote these songs to re-immerse myself in the blood and fire of the visions that spoke to me as a child, and to see what more there might be in them now that I’m grown,” – Darnielle

Come and experience The Mountain Goats’ ‘Beat The Champ’ in the flesh, as well as beloved favourites from Darnielle’s sprawling discography.

“The music is fantastically rangy, with discordant strings and jazz piano nuzzling punk-busker guitar. That WWF road-trip playlist you made with Springsteen’s “The Wrestler” just got way more interesting.” – Rolling Stones

“The Mountain Goats’ new LP is dedicated to John Darnielle’s childhood pro-wrestling heroes, using the particulars of their lives to explore his own personal mythology. There’s a noble simplicity to these songs, reflecting Darnielle’s warm memories of his fandom.” – Pitchfork

“As the razor, held aloft, glistens in the spotlight, Darnielle offers his parting words: “I loved you before I even ever knew what love was like.” It’s an epitaph for innocence — for fire and blood, gods and titans, rhyme and reason, the poetry and perfection of a squared circle.” – Consequence of Sound

The much-loved US indie folk rockers, The Decemberists are returning to Australia!

Since their earliest recordings more than a decade ago, The Decemberists have been known for their sense of scope and daring. Drawing on influences such as REM, The Shins and Death Cab for Cutie, they sway through upbeat pop to lush ballads to sea shanties, and employ a plethora of instruments including accordion, organ, and upright bass to orchestrate exciting, theatrical performances that have charmed audiences the world over.

After the success of the 2011 Number 1 album The King is Dead, which included the Grammy nominated song ‘Down By the Water’, they took a break to spend time with their families, and now much to fans’ delight, The Decemberists are back with their seventh album What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World (2015) and a collection of b-sides from the recording sessions– a 5-song EP titled Florasongs to be released on October 9.
What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World has been heralded as the band’s most varied and dynamic work, both musically and emotionally, they took their time to make it & experimented with texture, vocals, strings and more to shape the tenor, whilst drawing from profound pieces of inspiration including President Obama’s national address following the Newtown School shootings, from which the album title came.

As well as selling out tours across the globe, the Grammy-nominated collective from Portland have featured on the Hunger Games soundtrack, appeared on Conan, & Jimmy Kimmel Live, and they even had the honour of legendary TV show creator Matt Groening selecting them to feature in animated form on The Simpsons, and performed on the season six finale of Parks and Recreation.

We can’t wait to see the unforgettable, unique concert experience The Decemberists will put on for their Aussie fans in a rare trip down under.
