On Saturday 6 July, Kristian Fletcher pays tribute to Doris Day with a special screening of CALAMITY JANE at Metro Arts, 109 Edward St, Brisbane CBD. The 1953 musical film tells the story of the Wild West heroine Calamity Jane, her local saloon and her romance with Wild Bill Hickok.

 

 

In the film, star Doris Day (who passed away earlier in May) sang the hit song Secret Love which won an Academy Award.
