Bringing his unmistakable baritone pipes back to our golden shores, acclaimed 23-year-old English singer-songwriter George Ezra will be enchanting crowds in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane on a newly announced Australian tour next March. With his latest single, the joyous romp ‘Don’t Matter Now’, fresh in our ears, Ezra is wasting no time in rescheduling some regrettably cancelled July shows.

George Ezra first came to prominence back in 2015 as he rode the sunset across Falls and Southbound Festivals on the back of his hugely successful record Wanted on Voyage. A precocious debut from a young man with a voice well beyond his years, the album featured massive singles ‘Budapest’ and ‘Blame It On Me’ and went on to sell a total of 3 million units worldwide. He was also nominated for 4 Brit Awards, MTV Music Awards, Q Awards and the prestigious Ivor Novello – a tribute to songwriting talents forged in the shadows of heroes like Bob Dylan and Hank Williams.

As anticipation for a follow-up album grows, the Bristol native has been busy wowing crowds in a series of “top secret” shows across the UK. Debuting new material and getting himself match-fit, he also took in a cheeky Glastonbury set, after which DIYmag.com proclaimed that we were in for a “smasher of a new record”. With a touring schedule that takes in some of the biggest festivals on the planet including Pukkelpop and Lollapalooza, George Ezra will arrive on Australian soil in peak form.

Also appearing at these shows will be Melbourne-based spark Ainslie Wills. Dealing in powerfully quixotic song craft, Wills has forged her reputation with an enchanting voice and jaw-dropping musical dexterity. Her debut album You Go Your Way, I’ll Go Mine was nominated for the Australia Music Prize and its tonal turns and lyrical twists will provide the perfect foil for Ezra’s earthy propulsions.

This November and December brings the debut Australian tour of Son Little – his wonderfully diverse sound will tour to intimate venues across the country.

Off the back of a successful North American tour and a huge run of shows supporting Leon Bridges, Son Little will be performing in support of his self-titled debut album which he released in October 2015. The record is, in its purest form, quintessentially American music, described by Rhythms Magazine as “a striking gust of fresh air with one foot in the past, the other striding bravely into the future“.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-9550766590923202" data-ad-slot="4069408586" data-ad-format="link"></ins>//

“Livingston’s voice is captivating, somehow finding common ground between growling holler and sweet croon, an emotional device as much as a musical instrument” proclaimed RollingStone Australia when describing Son Little (AKA Aaron Livingston), while The New York Times said of his live show, “The music had roots, but wasn’t looking back.”

Born to a preacher and a teacher in Los Angeles, where he learned how to listen and how to play before moving east to New York and New Jersey. Son Little dropped in and out of schools and scenes in Manhattan and then Philadelphia, where he collaborated with both The Roots and RJD2. The songs on Son Little draw inspiration from the diaspora of American music to create something both familiar, recalling the warm vinyl of a beloved classic, while sonically rooted – with it’s staccato beats, echoing guitars and rumbling bass.

Supported by Caiti Baker in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Darwin, Son Little will also be appearing at Queenscliff Music Festival, Fairgrounds & Disconnect.

“Son Little’s self-titled debut album is nu-soul, not neo-soul, and the distinction is drastic. Little doesn’t strive to reproduce his influences; he recombines them into something new.” – NPR

“A potent collection of soulful new Americana” – Noisey

“Son Little’s soulful debut long player traverses American roots music, from the north to the deep south. Vintage tracks are regularly peppered with drum machines, synths and effects, weaving seamlessly the old moody and brooding blues with modern indie R&B – SMH

Following the huge worldwide response to debut artist, HOZIER, and the monumental reaction to his smash hit and viral sensation Take Me To Church, we can now announce that a return tour has been confirmed for October, taking in all major capital cities and playing in some of the most beautiful and well regarded theatre and outdoor venues in the country. On his recent debut on Australian shores earlier this month, his throngs of fans were treated to a heart-achingly deep and fathomless performance with his Bluesfest slot drawing crowds of over 10,000 punters.

Taking in a national run of dates in venues a huge step up from his relatively small performances, this October tour will see Hozier perform at Perth’s Belvoir Amphitheatre on Wednesday 28 October, the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on Friday 30 October, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Tuesday 3 November, before closing at Brisbane’s stunning Riverstage on Friday 6 November.

With so many countless fans missing out on seeing Hozier live on this brief Easter visit, here now is your chance to witness the grandeur and yet deeply intimate nature of this extraordinary artist.

“The smooth blend of folk, blues, gospel and rock on [Hozier]’s self-titled album left me at times questioning how someone in their early 20s could conjure up such poetic and poignant music and lyrics.” VH1

After a five year absence, British duo Lamb make their long-awaited return to Australia for a five-date national tour this summer.

First forming in Manchester in 1995, Lamb’s 1996 self-titled genre-bending debut album delivered intensely personal, emotionally charged songs intertwined with startling drum n bass beats in in a collision of jazz, classical, blues, techno & hip hop that defined an era of trip hop.

Singles ‘Gold’, ‘God Bless’, ‘Cotton Wool’ and ‘Górecki’ have been critically and commercially successes. In particular, ‘Górecki’ – inspired by the works of composer Henryk Mikołaj Górecki – has become one of the most recognized anthems of electronic music, attracting numerous remixes, covers, TV commercials and movie soundtracks (Basquiat, Moulin Rouge and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer to name the biggest box office hits).

Since their Australian debut, Lamb has drawn rave reviews from thrilled audiences and critics alike for their sold-out headline and festival performances. They wowed fans as part of 2003’s iconic Livid Festival, headlined Sydney’s much-loved Peats Ridge Festival in 2009 and 2011 brought Lamb back to our shores to headline the Playground Weekender Festival on the Hawkesbury River, as well as selling out numerous sideshows along the way.
