Hundreds of drones dazzle the night sky.

Skylore is a larger-than-life highlight of Brisbane Festival and a bright and bold celebration of our city, celebrating Culture and place. Now in its third annual iteration, Skylore has become a staple of the Festival.

 

 

Back by popular demand, Nieergoo: Spirit of the Whale returns to illuminate Brisbane’s skyline. Watch as hundreds of drones soar above the Brisbane River as Traditional Owner Yuggera and Toorabul man Shannon Ruska and Tribal Experiences retell this powerful story of Culture, Country, and connection to place, with original composition by Guy Webster.

From 2 – 4 May, Little Stanley Street will transform into a sausage-lovers paradise, serving up everything from loaded hotdogs and corn dogs to lamb rolls and Caribbean eats.

Catch the sporting action live on the big screens, soak up the sunshine with a Queenslander Margarita in hand, and enjoy roving entertainment and live music from day to night. South Bank favourites like Ahmet’s, Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers, Barbossa, Brooklyn Depot and more will be dishing out festival feeds, with a must-try stop at Magic Dawgs—a fiery Frank’s Red Hot collab with Alemre Group slinging loaded dawgs like the King Wally and Reece Lightning.

 

 

Whether you’re a sports fiend, foodie or just here for the vibes, Snag Fest is the ultimate weekend hang—and best of all, entry is free!

Members of the public are invited to interact, share and experience the joy of movement with one another, led by a contemporary dancer.

 

 

Onlookers can observe the spectacle of light created by the participants as they ripple and pulse across urban landscapes. Throughout the performance, an unspoken dialogue begins to unfold as the stars, participants and dancer connect to transform the space around them.
