For one night only we’re going to bring those classic Daft Punk songs to life with the use of an orchestra! Daft Punk’s fusion of house music with funk, techno, disco, rock music and synthpop influences has won them critical aclaim across music genres and established them as one of the most successful bands for our time.

Featuring a full orchestra and modern musical elements and the use of immersive visuals and an elaborate light show, there’s no experience quite like it!

– Who’s Performing? –
This isn’t your average orchestral event. Our musicians are highly trained professionals and all Daft Punks biggest fans. This modern Orchestra have been practicing enormously to ensure you as an audience receive the best possible show! We’re got trumpets, horns, strings, DJ’s, Drums, live vocalists, MC’s and much, much more to make this night one to remember!

We are excited to announce the Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s first family event of 2019 – Fergal Onions!

It’s an Australian work by artist and author John Harrison and composer and QSO Section Principal Percussion David Montgomery.

Held in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra studio at South Bank, this 45 minute concert is perfect for children beginning their musical journey. It presents a wonderful opportunity to discover the instruments of the orchestra and delve deeper into the world of music. This is the ideal environment for your little music lovers to experience a live orchestra. Fergal Onions tells the story of a young girl who practises Mozart on her violin and inspires her older neighbour to dust off his saxophone and spend some time away from the TV. This interactive concert also introduces the instruments of the Orchestra.
