We have all been down there, you know that road… the gravelly one where you mess up the great love of your life, doing what seemed right at the time, living to regret your choices from that day forward. Never moving on, never letting go, holding on to the bittersweet feeling of hope and hopelessness.

Messed It Up is the first taste of album #3 from Melbourne favourite dreamboats, Kingswood. Currently under construction across four studios in Sydney and Nashville. Premiering on triple J, Messed It Up — all sinewy synth-soul compulsion with a restless rock undertow — presages another stunning act of evolution from a band who effectively weave thunderous serpentine space-rock and smouldering falsetto R’nB.

Kingswood have been recording with Nashville producer Eddie Spear (U2 / Lady Gaga / Kelly Clarkson / Brandi Carlisle / Anderson East / Europe / Kaleo) who has effectively been playing the “fifth Beatle” to the band’s creatively democratic, relentlessly expanding visions for the future of rock’n’roll.

With a new manager Damo Costin (VVV Management /123 Agency Director) by their side, Kingswood will wrap up 2018 with a highly anticipated debut appearance at Mondo NYC in early October, followed by extensive touring through the US and Europe.

Kingswood will round out 2017 in spectacular style, with a mammoth national tour that sees them landing all over this wide and wonderful land and will be the first time new tracks from their latest LP, After Hours, Close To Dawn will have been played live in some of these areas.

After Hours, Close To Dawn, was a creative evolution in sound for the gents from Kingswood. Their second release to debut in the ARIA top 10, cultivating a bunch of new radio favourites, like ‘Golden’, ‘Creepin’ and ‘Atmosphere’.

It follows on from their debut album Microscopic Wars, and saw them power down a new sonic path, resulting in a change of sound that delighted and astonished fans.

After Hours, Close To Dawn was named in Rolling Stone Australia’s 50 Most Anticipated Albums of 2017, as well as The Herald Sun’s Biggest New Albums in 2017, mixing an eclectic collection of retro R’n’B grooves with soaring rock & roll, fuzzy soul and space age experimentation. It’s all connected by the defining element that is the trio’s creative DNA. No matter what shape they take, these songs are still instantly recognisable as pure Kingswood.

Kingswood will join heavyweights Queens of The Stone Age, LCD Soundsystem and HAIM at Byron’s Splendour In The Grass Festival before setting off on this headline tour.

Joining the gents for all tour dates will be rambunctious rock ‘n’ rollers The Vanns, and Sydney’s rockers Dear Seattle will be along for all shows excepting north Queensland dates.

Firebrand, ARIA-nominated, Melbourne rockers Kingswood are back in a big, big way, announcing their up and coming national club show tour throughout November, tickets for these up close and personal shows are on sale now.

The tour will take in nine shows across five states, including up close and personal capital city venues, as well as off the beaten track regional club shows, kicking off with a performance on Friday, November 4 at Chinchilla Event ‘Fusions on the Field’ in Queensland.

These shows offer fans a chance to see KINGSWOOD perform on stages not seen since the early days of their career where they’ll be premiering select material off their forthcoming sophomore album. The band’s most recent ‘Microscopic Wars’ album tour (March 2015) saw the band sell out iconic venues across the country, including Sydney’s Metro Theatre and the Forum Theatre in Melbourne and then went on to support Australian rock royalty AC/DC on the nine date Australian leg of their ‘Rock or Bust’ stadium tour in November 2015, alongside energetic Swedish rock stars, The Hives. These electrifying shows saw the band play to some of the biggest audiences of their career, playing to 80,000 seat venues like Sydney’s ANZ Stadium, to which the band’s vocalist/ Laska proudly accepted, “There isn’t really much one can say about touring with AC/DC, childhood dreams being realised generally results in a loss for words.”

Kingswood members Laska, Fergus Linacre and Justin Debrincat have spent the earlier part of 2016 bunkered down recording the follow-up to their 2014 debut, Microscopic Wars, at the legendary Nashville USA studios: Sound Emporium, owned by musical legend Johnny Cash’s producer Jack Clement – a studio that has recorded the albums of many of the greats, from Robert Plant and Cyndi Lauper, to the Alabama Shakes and Pharell.

With their signature rock ‘n’ roll swagger and unstoppable quest for greatness ARIA Nominees,Kingswood were never going to be content staying home for the summer.

Faster than a thundering bass line and bolder than a crescendo of drums, the band have announced a huge nation-wide tour, from iconic capital city venues to taverns’ off the beaten track to an all ages show part of the Mordialloc Food Wine & Music Festival, starting on January 22nd.

There’s been nothing small about the Melbourne band since their inception, and certainly not since their debut album “Microscopic Wars” was released earlier this year. The album Storming into the ARIA charts top ten, invading triple j with their singles ‘ICFYDLM’ and ‘Sucker Punch’added to high rotation, as well as releasing film clips [WATCH ‘MICRO WARS’ HERE] that draw on Tarantino-like blood splatters and Shakespearian love affairs for inspiration and provide a perfect vision for their cinematic and sprawling sound.

“It’s been a solid journey of musical growth for the Melbourne band … one which has captured fans across the country thanks to their dark and driving take on rock, and Microscopic Wars is a true testament to that” triple J

“Kingswood, who much like their name automobile – trade in growling, rumbling, petrol-guzzling power.” Blunt Magazine

“If rock and roll is indeed fading away, thankfully nobody has told Kingswood, who seem intent on embarking on a one-band mission to put it back where it belongs.” – mX

“If the little tastes we’ve had of Kingswood were enough for us to take an interest in the band, ‘Microscopic Wars’ will make us fall in love with them.” – KILL YOUR STEREO
