Brisbane Comedy Festival
2012
Brisbane will be caught giggling, chuckling, cackling and chortling when 54 international and Australian comedians hit the stage at Brisbane Comedy Festival from 28 February – 25 March 2012.

Returning for the fourth year, Brisbane Comedy Festival brings audiences a line up with international headliners Tom Green, Stephen K Amos, Mark Watson and Daniel Kitson and introduces the Best of Malaysian Comedy starring Harith Iskander.

Australians Frank Woodley, Will Anderson, Sam Simmons, Charlie Pickering, Hannah Gadsby, Tom Gleeson, Tom Ballard and Jason Byrne will tread the boards bringing their quick wit, quirky observations and riotous stories of personal trials and triumphs.

Tripod is back with comic odes to love and adulthood and indie darlings Die Roten Puntke bring their Germanic punk-pop comedy stylings to the stage. Other comedic-strength-innumbers acts include Skills in Time starring Greg Larsen, Henry Stone, Sam Campbell and featuring Damien Power, Comedy Hits Puberty with a seven-strong line-up and Breakout Comedy with Matt Okine, Rhys Nicholson, Genevieve Fricker and Ronny Chieng all contributing to the mirth making.

The fun doesn’t stop there – Bev Killick (Busting Out) will put the mammaries away for her return to Brisbane Powerhouse and you’ll bust a gut laughing with Damien Power, Deanne Smith, Dave Thornton and Des Bishop. Local comedians Paul Brasch, Kat Davidson, Lindsay Webb and Greg Sullivan will all be on stage generating hilarity alongside Josh Earl, Harley Breen, Andrew O’Neill, Nick Coyle, Joel Ozborn, Bart Freebairn, Ross Daniels, Tommy Dassalo and Matt Okine.

Plus there is – Chalkboard a cheap and cheerful addition to any Friday outing at the festival – the line-up is announced daily and tickets are only $15.
