Four actors. Three movies per night. Three nights of mayhem in Fortitude Valley’s underground Heya Bar. Grab a drink and park yourself on the edge of the action as the B MOVIES LIVE cast parody some of the worst movies ever made!
B MOVIES LIVE will return to Brisbane as part of Anywhere Festival and performed over three big nights – 12, 19 & 26 May – at Heya Bar, Fortitude Valley.
B MOVIES LIVE features a team of actors who bring a collection of “B Movies” – a low-budget film so bad it’s good – to life, with suitably dodgy props, costumes and sound effects.
The gang are back with a new season – and live re-enactments of some even worse movies from the low-budget Hollywood vaults.
The May 2019 shows will present triple features each night – starring vampires, bugs and dinosaurs. Each night will be a different experience and different movie program – and it’ll be up to the audience to ensure the actors finish the show in one piece.
From a 50s sci-fi bugfest to 70s Dracula rip-offs, there’ll be a triple feature performed live (and badly) each night.
Rub shoulders with the cast before and after the show as they portray some of the greatest hams in the business – if you’re lucky, you might leave with a signed headshot or a bit part in the film itself!
Ticket price includes a goodies bag for audience participation.
B MOVIES LIVE promises to be a raucous satire of the last century of cinematic slop – a fun night out where anything can happen!
The 2016 production B Movies Live Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster had a sold-out run in the Anywhere Festival and was later toured to Melbourne and Ipswich.
